July 24, 25, 2025: Flight to Lusaka, Zambia

Your international flight takes you to Lusaka, Zambia (arriving July 25). Upon arrival, Ryan will welcome you with champagne and cold face towels, before driving you to the nearby Wild Dogs Lodge in time for a delicious ‘welcome to Africa’ dinner!

July 26, 27: Kafue National Park

After breakfast by the pool, drive 4.5 hours from Lusaka to Kafue National Park, where we will spend two nights at Mukambi Safari Lodge on the banks of the Kafue River.  Live in the company of the local wildlife which find sanctuary around the lodge area including impalas, baboons, monkeys, elephants, hippos, leopard, jackal and even a small pride of lion!  After your game drive or fishing trip, cool down in the infinity pool while the hippos wallow in the river below or relax with a cold drink in hand in one of the lounge areas offering stunning panoramic views.

July 28,29,30: Busanga Plains

After breakfast, drive to the northern section of Kafue National Park to Busanga Plains Camp.  The unique wetland of palm groves, papyrus-choked reed beds, and lily-covered lagoons, support lion, cheetah, African buffalo, hippo, oribi, lechwe, zebra, wildebeest and elephant.

The luxurious tented camp consists of en-suite tents overlooking the beautiful Busanga Plains, next to the expansive plains and tree-studded islands where fig trees and wild date palms draw their nutrients from the remains of giant anthills.  Take a refreshing dip in the pool or sunbathe on the wooden deck whilst taking in the resplendent landscape. Busanga is a special place, like no other you will encounter in Africa.

July 31, Aug 1,2: South Luangwa National Park

After breakfast and one last game drive, board your small airplane (included) for your 70 minute flight over beautiful Zambia to Lusaka.  Enjoy some delicious coffee, and then board your small airplane (included) to Mfuwe and the famous South Luangwa National Park where we will spend the next three days at Track & Trail River Camp.  This is an intimate safari lodge offering an authentic and unique safari experience, allowing us to relax and unwind between game drives along the beautiful Luangwa River.

August 3,4: Lusaka Departure Flight

After one last wildlife drive, board your small airplane (included) for a 70 minute flight back to Lusaka.  Enjoy a final meal together before transferring to the Lusaka airport in time for your flight home (arriving home on August 4), with memories of a unique Zambian adventure that will last a lifetime!
