A comfortable international flight takes you to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (arriving February 4). Upon arrival, Erla will welcome you with champagne and cold face towels, before driving with you in 4x4 Landcruisers (with pop-up roofs) to the charming Ilboru Safari Lodge.

February 5:  Lake Manyara National Park

Continue to The Rift Valley Photographic Lodge located just outside Lake Manyara National Park, providing unobstructed views of the Rift Valley Escarpment. February 6:  Serengeti National Park

Drive through the Rift Valley in your specially outfitted 4x4 Landcruiser and visit a Maasai village to learn about the Maasai people and the Clean Cookstove project.  Enjoy an exclusive presentation by one of the Maasai women and hear how participation in the project has impacted her life and empowered others around her.  Take a guided tour of the village, meet the women that have been trained as stove engineers, visit bomas (traditional homes), and observe (or get your hands dirty) by helping the Stove Team build a stove in a home.  Enjoy a short lecture by a National Geographic paleontologist at the Olduvai Gorge Museum before continuing to the Serengeti Tortilis Camp for dinner and the night.

February 8: Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy another morning wildlife drive, before starting the ascent up the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, before descending to the Pembeni Luxury Tented Camp for lunch.  In the afternoon, you can opt to relax at the camp with a cool drink, or deliver food supplies and school kits to the incredible children at the nearby Shalom Orphanage.

February 9: Ngorongoro Crater & Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater -- a UNESCO World Heritage site -- for what is often the highlight of the trip!  With more animals per square kilometer than anywhere else in Africa, this is truly a photographers paradise!  After a picnic lunch by the hippos pools at the bottom of the Crater, and a final wildlife drive on your way out of the Crater,  drive towards Arusha for dinner and the night at Ilboru Safari Lodge.

February 10,11: Arusha & Kilimanjaro Departure Flight

After a final breakfast by the pool, Erla will take you a local craft market to purchase some handmade curios, a local children's home for disabled children, and a delicious lunch in the midst of a fair trade coffee plantation.  Return to your lodge for a chance to swim, relax by the pool, and re-pack your gear before transferring to the JRO airport in time for your evening flight home (arriving February 11), with some incredible photographs and memories of the greatest wildlife show on earth!
